CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • BABY STEPS

    Infant Gym Class

    Ages 6mo-12mo + Caregiver

    Check our schedule for days & times!

    This class is for babies 6 to 12 months old and supports all of the domains of early childhood development in your baby. Not just the crawling and walking steps – but the social, emotional and cognitive steps too! Music, props, rhythm instruments and age appropriate gym activities help both infants and their caregivers navigate the learning explosion that is occurring each and every day!

  • Sing, Shine & Boogie

    Music & Movement Class

    Ages: 6mo-4yrs + Caregiver

    Wednesdays 11:00am-11:40am

    In our signature children’s music class, a professional musician leads the group as we SING, learning original melodies and discovering new rhythms by playing a range of percussion instruments each class. We SHINE our attention on both sung and spoken words promoting many aspects of early language development. And there is plenty of BOOGIE as dance and large muscle movement promotes coordination and self-expression. Join the Sing, Shine & Boogie party!

  • Move & Groove

    Gym & Movement Class

    Ages: 6mos-4yrs + Caregiver

    Wednesdays & Thursdays 10:15am-11am

    Hudson River Kids provides developmentally appropriate gym activities to enhance each child’s physical growth. Trained movement specialists introduce children to the basics of gymnastics and gross motor movements in safe and fun ways. A consistent class structure promotes increased self-confidence as students explore the basics of balance, strength and agility. This fun and active class encourages a lifetime interest in a healthy lifestyle.

    Music & Movement Class

    Ages: 18mo-36mo Drop Off

    Older toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy this two hour drop off music, movement and storytelling experience! Through a clear and guided gentle separation process, students INDEPENDENTLY experience 45 minutes of music, 45 minutes of movement and 30 minutes of storytelling and snack time. Structured play with a purpose allows students to participate and socialize in age appropriate activities as they increase their ability to maintain FOCUS while they gain physical, cognitive and auditory/listening skills in an imaginative and creative two hour experience!

    Choose 1 or 2 mornings per week.

  • 1, 2, 3 STEAM

    Preschool Readiness Class

    Ages: 18mos-3yrs Drop Off

    Let’s get ready for Preschool! This class nurtures student’s natural curiosity through play-based learning while encouraging individuality and creativity. With a strong emphasis on language development, our interdisciplinary approach incorporates music, puppets, dramatic play, and teacher directed process oriented art projects. Whether students are exploring new tasks or making new discoveries, they will grow socially and emotionally with their fellow classmates and get excited about the world around them.

Hudson River Kids is inclusive of children & families of all learning levels. If you’re not sure a class will be a good fit for your child, please come try one. We know that children all learn in unique ways.

COMMUNITY POLICIES

  • Adults are shoeless in the learning studios

  • Students are sockless in the gym space

  • Active Adult Participation @ all times

  • Learning Studios are No Phone Zones

  • Makeups for missed class sessions may be scheduled in any age appropriate class. Makeup classes must be scheduled and are available on a first come first serve basis.

  • Age appropriate participation – no siblings

  • Students with visible or audible signs of illness will be provided makeup class alternatives.
